Jennifer Golden is a native of Los Angeles, California and the proud daughter of immigrant parents. Being raised by a Guatemalan and Salvadoran community, she identifies as Central American. Golden earned a Bachelor of Social Work from California State University, Long Beach and obtained a Master’s in Social Welfare from the University of California, Los Angeles. She worked in Los Angeles County as a Children’s Social Worker and Psychiatric Social Worker for over a decade. Since September 2020, she has worked as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) at University of Virginia Comprehensive Cancer Center (UVACCC). She is involved in different DEI efforts in UVA and Virginia at large.
