Maria Terry is originally from San Pedro Sula, Honduras. She came to Brooklyn, New York, with her family at the age of six years old. Maria is an HR Business Partner at UVA. Before starting her HR career, Maria served in the US ARMY -4 years active duty and three years as a reservist. Maria is an Iraq war veteran and is an advocate/spokesperson in the Veteran community. Maria earned her M.B.A with a concentration in Human Resources and a bachelor's degree in Business Management while studying at Long Island University Brooklyn, NY. Maria's goal is to support the organization in creating a sense of belonging for all employees.
